The gate already knows who's coming, so nobody has to argue at the barrier.
CalmGates are tense places. We lower the temperature, in the product and in our words.
CertainValid or not. In or out. Approved by whom. Every state is clear at a glance.
RespectfulResidents' numbers stay hidden. Guards are trusted professionals. Visitors are guests.

Say what's happening. Say what to do next.
PlainShort sentences. Everyday words a guard and a grandmother both understand.
DirectLead with the outcome: "Approved · let them in". Then who, how and when.
Warm, not chatty"Welcome home." Yes. Exclamation marks, jokes and emoji, no.

The signal ring
An open ring and a dot. The ring is the gate, standing open. The dot is the person it's open for: expected, known, let in.
AStroke is 12 units on a 100-unit grid, round caps

Lockups
Wordmark is Onest Bold, −3% tracking. The gap between mark and word equals the dot's diameter. Leave clear space of one ring-width on every side.

✕ Put it in a blue tile. The mark stands on its own.
✕ Colour the ring and dot differently.
✕ Stretch, squash or rotate it.
✕ Close the ring. An open gate is the point.

Ink, mist and one signal
Roughly 60% mist, 30% ink, 10% signal blue. Status colours mean status, never decoration.

Status is always a tag with a word, never colour alone.

One family, three apps
The only place the mark sits on a background, because app stores require one. Always ink with a white mark.

Logo files
Use the download button on any file, or get the whole brand-assets folder. Use SVG wherever you can. Convert the wordmark text to outlines before sending to a printer.

Square, full-bleed PNGs. The App Store and Google Play add the rounded mask themselves. Sizes in px; more sizes in the app-icons folder.

Letters, invoices and cards
Mark and wordmark top left. Onest for the body at 11 pt, Plex Mono for references, amounts and dates. A single ink rule above the footer, nothing else.

Tells visitors what to do before they reach the guard. A0 portrait on aluminium composite, eye level beside the guard post. English first; add Luganda or Swahili underneath where the estate wants it.
